The evidence

Lemma finds more of the errors in real papers.

93%of author-confirmed errors found in 26 maths and CS papers. General AI models: 48–79%.
84%in 50 corrected or withdrawn physics papers. Gemini 3.1 Pro: 52%.
103/104references with a known answer judged correctly.

Covers maths, CS and physics. Lemma does not replace peer review. How we measured it →

What you can do with Lemma

Ten things you can do with Lemma. Pick one to see it run.

Each card is a real Lemma session, with the check it passed. Click a card to see the result, what Lemma built and how it was checked. Strongest today in physics, optics and engineering.

How to use Lemma
▶Play with sound · 1:16
Notebooks

Every calculation is a live notebook.

The code behind every number, in plain view. Move a slider and the physics recomputes.

  • Interactive marimo notebooks, built and run by Lemma
  • Verification checks, each with its value, tolerance and method
  • Explores the parameters and reports what it learned from its own runs
▶Play with sound · 1:17
LaTeX editing

Most LaTeX editors just compile. Lemma also checks your physics.

Write your paper next to the chat, and Lemma checks it like a careful co-author.

  • Fixes compile errors in one click
  • Flags a wrong equation and confirms the fix with a simulation
  • Puts the figure in your paper, traced to its notebook
▶Play with sound · 0:36
Reference check

Every reference, checked against the literature.

Lemma looks up each citation in your paper and flags the ones that do not exist.

  • Looks each one up in the DOI registry and OpenAlex
  • Flags references with no record anywhere
  • Every verdict is one click from its source

Sharing

Share a live notebook with one link.

Anyone can open it in their browser, with no account and no install.

  • Only the notebook and its data go out
  • Sliders and 3D plots stay live, with the code behind every number
  • Stop sharing any time, and the link stops working
Digital twins of papers

Papers you can run. Every figure next to its recomputed twin.

Lemma turns a paper into a live notebook: the original figures beside the ones its model recomputes, with the checks that show how well they agree. Open one: it runs in your browser, with no account.

1.6-Tbps low-power linear-drive high-density optical interface for machine learning

Every figure from Fig. 1 to Fig. 17 beside its twin, with sliders for the link, the power delivery and the case temperature.

  • Recomputes the 246 Gb/s per mm edge density from the lane count
  • Predicts 67.5 dB of tolerable electrical loss; the paper measured up to 58 dB
  • Each fit reports its error on points it never saw

Optimizing superlattice bilayer graphene for a fractional Chern insulator

Every figure panel of the paper beside its reproduction, on the same axis ranges. Sliders recompute band structures and move a crosshair over the indicator maps.

  • Band structures and Berry-curvature maps recomputed from the continuum model
  • Each heatmap crosshair gives an exact single-point recomputation
  • The audit fixed two panels: the Fig. 4 axes and the Fig. 7(b) Berry curvature

Microwave response of a superconductor beyond the Eliashberg theory

Every figure recomputed live from the paper's equations, with values read off the paper's plots beside the model's. The original figures stay on arXiv; the twin links to them.

  • Fig. 2: the gap-enhancement region starts at 0.474 Tc; the paper's plot reads 0.476
  • Fig. 2 inset, Fig. 3 and Fig. 5(a) reproduced; Figs. 1, 2 and 4 partly
  • Says what it cannot redo: two panels need a theory the paper does not give

How Lemma verifies

Every result comes with its checks. And with what was not checked.

A result you cannot inspect is a guess. Lemma recomputes the results and looks up the sources, and its report says which claims hold, under which assumptions, and what it did not check.

Verification & validation

Trust, but check.

  • ✓
Verification modePlan & verify: Lemma plans the work, runs every task with its own checks and hands you a verification & validation report.
  • ✓
Verify the scienceDerivations, equations and numerical claims are recomputed in code, not just read.
  • ✓
Validate against sourcesEach reference is looked up and checked against its source. Results are compared with the published figures where the paper has them.
  • ✓
Formal checks with Lean Coming soonKey results can be proved formally, and Lean checks the numbers in the background.
  • ✓
Reasoning you can auditEvery step as code, plots and an annotated PDF, so you can rerun it and judge it yourself.

Questions scientists ask

Before you try it

Is it free?

Lemma is in open beta, and you can try it free. You can obtain extra credits through referrals and by joining a user group (contact@axiomatic-ai.com).

Which fields does it work in?

It is strongest today in physics, optics and photonics, and engineering, where the examples above come from. The published error benchmark covers mathematics, computer science and physics.

What do I get back?

Interactive notebooks with the code of every step, plots, sliders and 3D views; an annotated PDF when it checks a paper; a verification and validation report; LaTeX compiled to PDF; and a BibTeX file for a literature survey.

Can I rerun and check the results myself?

Yes. Every step is code in a notebook, and each note in a report points to the script that checked it.

Where does my data go? Is it used for training?

Your research stays yours. Axiomatic AI does not use your private work to train models or to build capabilities for other users without your explicit opt-in, and does not use it to race you to publication or patenting. For extra data protection, you can run Lemma on open-weight models. Read our commitment: Scientists own their work →

How long does a run take?

Long jobs keep running in the background, so you can leave and come back. In verification mode, Lemma takes you through all the steps, or runs them automatically. Larger projects can take many hours.

Does it replace peer review?

No. It does not certify that a paper is correct. It finds errors and shows its working, so that you and your referees can judge.
